My Story
My love for the woods and caring for others led me to craft birdhouses with purpose and personality. After retiring from nursing and living openly as an autistic creator, I found daily inspiration in Maine's wild forests and riverbeds. Each piece mixes roots, burs, and fallen branches that I hand-gather on my hikes with my dogs, turning natural discoveries into functional art. Every birdhouse is thoughtfully hand-built in my garage in Clinton, CT and designed for real birds' needs. My goal is to honor every tree, share a story of resilience, and spread nature's comfort - one lasting, one-of-a-kind house at a time.
Nature's Inspiration
Each birdhouse begins with a walk in the wilderness, searching for unique pieces of cedar, roots, and woodland finds. I individually mill and plane each board to one-inch thickness, using only wood screws and just enough glue - no nail guns or shortcuts - which makes every home secure for years. Following Audubon-approved sizes, my design puts real birds' safety first. Every plug is handmade, every detail shaped by hand, never by template.
